No light in sight,
Even road-side lamps
Have been turned off.
The sky is black,
The time is now,
With my fists wrapped
Around a piece of hope.
The only Beast left in this field
Is the only power I've yet to wield.
With mind over matter
I rush into battle,
As my fists collide
I can feel bones rattle.
Cascade down upon the grass
My arms and legs no longer functional,
Bearing down upon my body
Is the Beast I bet is me!
Now I am upturned,
Kicked and slashed and hacked at.
Cruel injuries engrave my soul,
They'll take a while to polish down.
Terrible things it's showing me,
Things that were or yet to b

I recall this world being my own
I saw this world, it being so cold
As I re-enter, all those foggy, dreamy days
I remember where this world once led to
I recall this world derailing
I saw this world, as it was what bled too
as I re-enter, all those doggy, sleepy days.
Now as I look around
I see a different place
I see the change clearly
as they move like sunny spots
along a pitch-black wall.
Now as I walk around
I see a blazing place
I see the bruises clearly
as they are prepared for repair
along with all those memories
ready to be erased
this is my life, being changed.
